The Baltimore Institute for Urban Leadership

“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7) 

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

The Baltimore Institute for Urban Leadership, Inc., aims to develop transformational leaders (clergy, laity, non-profit leaders, and community organizers) to serve in urban ministry and community contexts. 

Through its cohort-based learning model, consulting and coaching services, and specialized convening and training opportunities, the Baltimore Institute for Urban Leadership strives to cultivate principled, justice-centered transformational leaders who transform urban communities. 

To date, over 1,500 leaders from across America and several nations have participated in BIUL training programs.
